Mrs. John (Ada Jane) King, 87, life long resident of the Columbia community passed away Monday evening at Collin's Memorial where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke on Saturday.
Born September 26, 1880, near Columbia, she was the daughter of William T. and Mary Romesha Kincaid. On March 2, 1904, she was united in marriage to John King who preceeded her in death in April of 1955.
She was a member of the Columbia Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Edith) Johnson, Knoxville; Mrs. H. C. (Elsie) Davis of Albia; Miss Gladys King, Columbia; Mrs. Edna Partridge of East Moline, Illinois; two sons, Tom King, Columbia; and Ivan King of Farnhamville, Ia.; also surviving are a brother William J. Kincared of Amarillo, Texas, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
