John and Mary (Stopher) Bodle are my 3x great-grandparents.
John was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Indiana sometime before 8 May 1835, when he married Mary Stopher in Dearborn county. They were in Ohio county by the 1850 census, and finally settled in Switzerland county by 1860. They remained there until their deaths in 1889 and 1897.
John was a farmer all of his life.
His parents are unknown, but are indicated on the 1850 census to be from Ireland.
