Funeral services for Andrew Raskob of 321 Reed Ave. were held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Lawrence church with the Rev. F. L. Tschann officiating. The church choir provided the music. Pallbearers were Lester and Joe Rasko of Minneapolis, Ray Jandro, Thomas Jandro, Fred Thomas, Aloysius Schweisthal, all of Faribault. Interment was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Andrew Raskob, the son of John and Mary Raskob, was born Oct. 1, 1892 in Robbinsdale. He attended school in Robbinsdale and was engaged in farming in Walcott Township since 1920. In January 1928 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Meyer who passed away in December of 1946. In April 1951 he married Clara Frydenlund. Upon his retirement they moved to Faribault where he was a member of the St. Lawrence church. He passed away on Jan. 18, in Rice County District One Hospital following a brief illness. He was 69 years of age. He is survived by his widow, Clara; four daughters, Mrs. Cyril Jandro (Betty), Mrs. Walter Jandro (Ramona), Mrs. Dale Jandro (Patricia) and Mrs. John Sammon (Ardis) all of Faribault; one son, John also of Faribault; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Lena, Anne and Ernestine of Robbinsdale; two brothers, Conrad of Robbinsdale and Edward of Los Angeles, Calif. He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, one sister and two brothers. Friends and relatives attended the funeral from Wayzata, Robbinsdale, Minneapolis and the Faribault area.
