Norma V. Stenerodden, 90, Fargo, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in Rosewood on Broadway.

Norma was born December 7, 1919 on a farm in Cleveland Township near Fordville, ND, the daughter of John and Bertha (Lunde) Ackerland. She attended school in Park River, ND and worked on area farms and restaurants. She married Obed Stenerodden on November 14, 1941 in Crookston, MN. Obed was drafted into the U. S. Army following their wedding. Upon his discharge the family moved to Fargo. Norma worked for Herbst Department Store. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW Auxiliary and Pontoppidan Lutheran Church.

Norma's greatest joy was her family. She and Obed loved attending the grandchildren's activities and the family gatherings on Pelican Lake.

Norma is survived by one daughter, Gloria (Robert) Levos, Fargo; 3 grandchildren, David (Nancy) Levos, Medford, Oregon, Jackie (Chris) Ohm, Fargo, ND, Todd (Ondrea) Levos, Hastings, MN, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by sister Blanche (Clement) Sherek, Fargo and brother Leonard Ackerland, Boise, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her husband Obed; her parents; and seven siblings; Edward, William, George and Melvin Ackerland, Cora Kotaska, Geneva Peck and Irene Warren.

The funeral will be on Monday, January 18th at 2:00pm in Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo with visitation starting at 12:30pm.
