Clair E. McCall, 78, 17980 Hares Valley Rd, Mapleton, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 2, 2011. Born May 22, 1933, in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late Allison and Mildred (Black) McCall. He was united in marriage to Eva Bollinger. His wife of 51 years survives at their home. Mr. McCall is survived by a son, Kenneth C. McCall and wife, Sandra, Hershey, and a daughter Linda C. McCall, Mapleton. He is also survived by a brother, R. Lynn McCall and wife, Shirley, Elizabethtown. A sister, Elizabeth Myers, and brother, John McCall, preceded him in death. Mr McCall attended the Cornelius Chapel United Methodist Church, Mapleton. He was a member of Mount Union Lodge No. 688 F&AM and served on the board of directors and treasurer of Valley Rural Electric Co-op. He also served as trustee of Keller Church, Canoe Creek, and served as a Cass Twp supervisor and at one time was active in the 4-H program. A 1951 graduate of Huntingdon High School, he served in the US Navy and the US Army National Guard. He was a longtime truck driver with Reeves Parvin and its successors, Gateway and Fleming Foods. He retired in 1994. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, June 6, at Cornelius Chapel UM Church, Hares Valley Road, Mapleton, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Grundon assisted by Joseph Barrett officiating. Interment will be in Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton. Friends may call at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingson, ater 7 PM, Sunday, June 5, and at the church from 10 AM until the hour of the service Monday. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday at 6:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornelius Chapel UM Church, 17980 Hares Valley Road, Mapleton, PA 17052.
