"Isaac's favorite brother was Henry. Henry died when Isaac was already stricken with his final illness. The word of Henry's death was brought to the family but it was decided not to tell Isaac because of his failing health. The following morning when Isaac awakened, he told the family: "I saw Henry last night. He asked me to come over and join him on the other side. Why didn't you tell me that he had died?" Less than two months later, on March 21, 1923, Isaac too passed away and was buried beside his wife in Greenwood Cemetery at Fowlerville, Livingston, MI."
