In August 1920, she married Leopold Rosenthal. They had 3 children together. Wayne was born August 20, 1921. A daughter was their second child, but she died at a young age. Then was Edgar Rosenthal, born September 22, 1927. In 1939, Leo spent 6 weeks in a concentration camp in Germany, but was released based on his ranking in the Germany military during the First World War. Several days later, Meta, the 2 children, and Leo left Germany for the United States. They entered in NY, and settled in Providence, RI, USA. The family moved to Los Angeles, CA, USA in 1950. Leo died in 1960, Wayne died in March, 1976, and Meta died in October 1980. She was 89 years old.

Meta's other son, Edgar, had 2 children by his second wife, Evangeline Martinez Rosenthal (married July 11, 1970). Michael Leo Rosenthal was born March 11, 1972, and David Alan Rosenthal was born July 10, 1974.
