Irene Bookout of Summitville Dies
Summitville - Mrs. Irene Bookout, 57, wife of Clarence Bookout, a reside nt of this community for the past 31 years, died in her farm home, 4 1/2 m iles northwest of Alexandria, Friday after an illness of several months.
The body was removed to the Ewing Funeral Home here where friends wi ll be received after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted Mon day at 2 p.m. in the Lily Creek Baptist Church and burial will be in the V inson Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Basil Holmes, pastor of the Lily Cre ek Church, will be in charge. The body will be taken to the church as 1 p .m. Monday to lie in state until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Bookout was born in Creemore, Ont., Canada and was married to M r. Bookout in Canada in 1910. They moved to this community 31 years ag o. The deceased was a member of the Lily Creek Church.
Surviving are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Mable Regenold, Mrs. G ertrude Stout and Mrs. Olive Goehring, and two sons, Cletus and Howard Boo kout, all of Anderson; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sister s, Mrs. Eunice Davidson and Mrs. Mary Joridson, and two brothers, Dalton a nd Fred Howard, all residing in Canada.
