Howard Bookout Dies Wednesday
Howard W. Bookout
Howard W. Bookout, 49, 414 Stewart Circle, Anderson building contracto r, died at 6 p.m. yesterday at St. John's Hospital after a brief illnes s. He had been admitted to the hospital five hours earlier. Mr. Bookout w as born July 26, 1916, in Hazenmore, Saskatchewan, Canada. He was a memb er of the Fellowship Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapoli s; Murat Temple, Indianapolis Madison County Shrine Club; Anderson Optimi st Club, and he was the president of the Home Builders Association. Surviv ors include his wife, Delores; four sons, Larry, Kirk, Mark, and Scott, a ll of Anderson; his father, Clarence Bookout, Anderson; three sisters, Mr s. Russell Regenold, Mrs. John Goehring, and Mrs. Holly Stout, all of Ande rson; and two grandchildren. The body was taken to the Baker Brothers Fun eral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services wi ll be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roscoe Sn owden, pastor of the East Side Church of Good, in charge. Burial wi ll be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral services for Howard W. Bookout, 414 Stuart Circle will be conduct ed at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Baker Brothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Rosc ow Snowden, pastor of the East Side Church of Good, will officiate. Buri al will be in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends are being received at the funeral home where Masonic rites wi ll be held at 7 p.m. today.






My dad was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan!!! (Howard) There are still som e
relatives up there. I remember he told me he was 6 before he saw a tre e. His
dad was Clarence and he tried some homesteading up there before he moved
back down to mid Indiana. (Summitville).My grandfather and father were bo th contractors. I am one of four boys of Howard Bookout who married Delor is Marley from Alexandria. The oldest and third (Larry and Scott)have mov ed to Decatur, Alabama and fit in very well down there .. so they will def initely establish new geography for us. I have lived in Ohio and Michig an and returned back here because I wanted to have a sense of roots f or my family. I am the second oldest. My youngest brother Mark is in au to body repair and works in Anderson, Indiana.
