Alberta Hallonquist, lovingly known as 'Mimi', passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday in Lewisville, TX.
Alberta was born in Galveston, TX to George and Mary Seibel.
She married Lee R. Hallonquist on March 21, 1947.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who took great pride in her role as a homemaker.
She lived a humble life and always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 17, 2011, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Popelka officiating.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lee Hallonquist; her parents; four sisters, and a brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Robert) Popelka; son, Gary Hallonquist; grandchildren, Rob (Alisa) Popelka, Jared (Courtney) Popelka, Ashley Popelka (Chris) Cooper, and Justin Hallonquist; two great-grandchildren, Logan Brock Popelka and Pierce Henry Popelka; brother-in-law, Henry A. (Brenda) Hallonquist; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Shannon Price.
