Marie Elizabeth Chambers, 89, of Galena Park passed away Friday, April 10,1998. She was born December 8, 1908 in Galveston to George and Mary Siebel. Mrs. Chambers was a member of Galena Park United Methodist Church where she was active in the U.M.W. and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Chambers in 1975.

Survivors include her daughters, Diane Chambers Foshee and husband, George of Galena Park and Sandra Chambers Gallamore and husband, Reggie of Lake Jackson; son, James R. Chambers and wife, Janice of Galena Park; sisters, Freda Smith, Ellen Gould, Ruth Hopf and Berta Hallonquist; seven grandchildren; two great- granddaughters; and by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were April 11,1998, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Galena Park United Methodist Church, 1705 1st St., with Rev. Don Lewis officiating. Interment followed in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Avenue. Arrangements by Howard- Glendale Funeral Dkectors, 713453-6373.
