DEATH CLAIMS WILLIAM ARTIS
Well Known Clifford Blacksmith Is Victim of Heart Attack.
William Artis, 69, for many years a blacksmith at Clifford, died suddenly at 11:45 o'clock this morning at his home after an illness of three weeks.
The body has been moved to the Norman funeral home at Hope. Services have been set for 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Clifford Christian church with the Rev. John For officiating. Burial will be made at the Flatrock cemetery, west of Clifford.
The casket will be open at the residence from Thursday noon until time of moving to the church for services.
Mr. Artis was born in Brown county. He lived the last 30 years at Clifford where he was active as a blacksmith until recently. He would have been 70 years old May 23. His wife, Josephine, died five years ago.
He was a member of the Red Men's lodge.
