Mrs. Mary Bell Eldreth Barr, age 91, wife of Carl Lester Barr, of East Brocktown Road, Moravian Falls died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00, Monday, February 16, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with her grandson, Rev. Jonathan Blevins officiating. Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Garden. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
Mrs. Barr was born in Ashe County, August 31, 1917, to Wiley and Elen Testerman Eldreth. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Lee Fuhr.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Barr is survived by
eight daughters, Helen Barr, Peggy DuVall and husband, Brown all of Landis, Elma Jean Morrison and husband, Bobby of Cleveland, Bobbie Blevins, Shirley Rosellen Blevins and husband, Lewis all of Moravian Falls, Linda Crumpton and husband, John of Durham, Carol Hinckley and husband, Ron of Charlotte, Christie Smith and husband, Jeff of Raleigh; three sons, Dean Barr and wife, Ann of Hiddenite, Jack Barr and wife, Bebbie of North Wilkesboro, Steve Barr and wife, Lisa of Moravian Falls; 23 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
