THOMPSON---Andrew John Thompson, Jr., 36, of Lincoln, Nebr., a former resident of Hiawatha, Kans., died Saturday, December 27, 1969, at the Veterans Hospital at Lincoln, following an extended illness. He was born at St. Joseph, Mo. He was one of the founders of the Community Gospel Chapel, Hiawatha. John was a deacon of Holmes Park Bible Church at Lincoln, which he and his brother, William Thompson helped to build. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, three sons, John Steven, David Carl and Timothy Lee, all of the home, 3616 B Street, Lincoln, Nebr.; his parents, Mr. Mrs. A. J. Thompson, Sr., of Hiawatha; one brother, William F. Thompson of Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Godfrey of Caldwell, Idaho and Mrs. Henry (Margery Ann) Baker of Savannah, Mo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, December 30, at 1 p.m. at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Chapel Grant City, Mo. Interment will be in Lotts Grove Cemetery, Hatfield, Mo.
