Weldon F. Pugmire, 78, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away July 13, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah, at a local hospital, of heart failure.
Born June 2, 1914 in Fish Haven, Idaho, to L. Chris and Margurite Gobel Pugmire. Married Evelyn Stuart Feb. 20, 1935, in Soda Springs, Idaho; marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 9, 1979. Weldon was educated in Idaho schools and was a resident of Montpelier, Idaho until 1949. Was a member of the LDS Church and a High Priest in the Liberty Ward. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 1973, after 33 years of service.
Survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Joyce and spouse, (Richard) Welch; sons Gene (Kim), Bountiful; Dale (Cheryl), Bennion; Gordon (Debby), Afton, Wyo.; daughter-in-law Carlene; 12 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Wall, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by son James Russell and grandson Richard Hopkins, parents, one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 12 noon, Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour before services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
