Evelyn LaVon Pugmire, 86, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home, July 21, 2000.

Born Jan. 9, 1914 in Montpelier, ID to Louis and Olga Pearson Stuart. Married Weldon F. Pugmire Feb. 20, 1935 in Soda Springs, ID. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 9, 1979.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, as well as the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Retired from Sperry Rand Univac.

Survived by daughter, Joyce Welch; sons, Gene, Gordon, Dale Pugmire; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Teuscher; and brother, Jack Stuart. Preceded in death by her husband, Weldon; son, James Russell; grandson, Richard Hopkins; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services will be 12 noon Tues. July 25, Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W. 4100 S. Friends may call 10:30-11:30 a.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, prior to the graveside service.
