Viola Emma DesJarden, 94, of Aurora died Monday, March 22, 1999 at Countryside Care Center in Aurora. She was born to Otto and Emma (Wolgast) Sass on March 1, 1905 in Aurora.
She was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Joanna Circle of the Church.
Viola is survived by her daughter, Dolores Chesselow of Aurora, son Ronald (Janice [Vana]) DesJarden of California, 5 grandchildren, Phillip DesJarden, Matthew DesJarden, Suzanne (Edward) Stryczek, Charles (Sonja) DesJarden and Laura (Jonathan) Sivak. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Kyle, Alexander, Delaney and Megan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles DesJarden in 1959 and a son Gene (Mary) DesJarden.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 25, 1999 at 10:30 AM from The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., with Rev. Gerald L. Rygh officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 24, 1999 from 4:30 PM until 7 PM at The Healy Chapel. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
