Known affectionately by her family and friends as Deedie, Edith was a much beloved mother and grandmother. Dee Dee was only able to have one child, Carolyn and as a result doted on her grand children. She enjoyed time at the Narragansett beaches and the company of many local friends after the loss of Richard in 1958.
