Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Velma Goodpasture Carr, 94, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Loftis officiating. Burial was in Eckel Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gore, a housewife, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born May 16, 1905, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Lora A, (Thompson) Goodpas-ture. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley H. Carr.

She was a member of Netherland Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Frances Brown and June Evelyn Carr, both of Rickman, and Betty Sue Bilbrey, Sparta; a sister, Lola Gilentine, Glasgow, KY; four grandchildren, Kent J. Brown and Sarah F. Bilbrey, both of Rickman, David E. Bilbrey, Cookeville, and Dale L. Bilbrey, Sparta; and a great grandson, Derick L. Bilbrey, Sparta.

Pallbearers were Calvin Bilbrey, John Randolf, Tom Ashburn, Bob Roberson, Dester Wilson and Howard Miller.

Honorary pallbearers were Ray Austin, Bill Barnes, David Swallows, Terry Webb, Allen Loftis, Rick Waddell, Mike Webb, Bill Ward, and Larry Winningham.
