Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Blythe and Sons funeral home for Sarah Virginia Lefler, who died Saturday afternoon, a few days after her 83rd birthday, at her home near Americus. Rev. Howard Jenkins officiated at the service and interment was made in Pretty Prairie cemetery. Mrs. Lefler had been an invalid for four years. She suffered a stroke of paralysis two weeks ago. Born near Colburn June 17, 1852, she was the daughter of John and Sarah Biesecker. Her husband, Richard Lefler, died several years ago. She was a member of the Lutheran church. She leaves three children, Thomas and Flora, at home and Mrs. Carl Sterrett of near Lafayette.
