MAYFIELD, Ky.--
Graveside services for Bryon Presley Boyd Jr., 75, of Cadiz, formerly of Mayfield, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Highland Park Cemetery. The Rev. David Whaley will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 26.

Mr. Boyd died at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

He was the former manager of J.B. Humphries Loose Leaf Floor, and was a retired salesman for Dairyman Supply Co., Inc. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was retired from the Army Reserve and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Cadiz.

Surviving are three sons, Stephen Boyd of Dawson Springs, Michael Boyd of Mayfield and John Boyd of Nashville, Tenn.; his mother, Orma R. Boyd of Mayfield; one sister, Carolyn Herndon of Greenville, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Humphries Boyd, and his father, Bryon P. Boyd Sr.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, c/o Deanie Seay, 132 Highland Club Estates, Mayfield, KY 42066.
