Calvin Poulsen passed away on June 10, 2011.

He was born in Liberty, Idaho to Alma and Laura Poulsen on September 21, 1913. He married Evelyn Boehme on July 26, 1936. He was a member of the LDS Church. Cal worked on the farm and herded sheep and cattle in Wyoming and Idaho until 1942.

He and Evelyn moved to Salt Lake City, where he apprenticed as a diesel mechanic at Burlington Trailways, then finished his career at Garrett Freightlines. He retired in 1977.

Cal loved his horses and was active in several clubs for many years. He raced cutters and chariots and rode in several historical reenactments in Utah and Idaho. Cal and Evelyn loved to travel and did many trips after retirement.

Cal is preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, brother Elzo, sister Delores, son Terry, and granddaughter Amanda. He is survived by sister Verda, sons Jay, Rick (Jana), five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He loved and was very proud of his family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in the Chase Lane Ward Chapel, 1125 North 400 West, Centerville. Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at the church prior to the services.
Interment-Geneva Cemetery, Bear Lake, Idaho.
