Funeral Services Are
Held For Mrs. Sledge
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Sledge, of Lee community, who died on Tuesday, January 27, after an illness of several weeks, were held Thursday, January 28, at 2 p.m. at the Providence cemetery in Ringgold.
The services were conducted by the Rev. A.E. Brown of Homer assisted by the Rev. J.H. Hucabee of Springhill.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. W.B. Hall, Mrs. Ollie McDow, Mrs. Nila Giddens; one son, Bascom Sledge; three brothers, Phil White of Caston, Tom and Dave White of Jamestown; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Evans of Heflin; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
