John Henry Bellar was born at Aurora, Illinois, March 10th, 1857 and died at his home at Neligh, Nebraska early Monday morning, May 26th, 1919.
Mr Bellar came to Antelope county in 1870, and was married to Miss Sylvia Burton September 5th, 1884. To this union were born six children, namely, Mrs. R. E. Sherman of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska; Mrs. H. C. Newcomb; Rugy O.; John Henry; Norris E., all of Neligh and J. C. of Albion, Nebraska.
Mr. Bellar lived in Antelope county for thirty nine years and leaves not only his wife and six children to mourn his death, but many friends.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Raymond Rush, pastor of the Neligh Methodist church, at the Congregational church Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock.
