Bunker Hill - Mary Florence Blotna, 91, formerly of Piasa, died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fosterburg, a daughter of the late Moses and Cornelia (Jones) Werts, she married William Blotna on Dec. 20, 1916, in Alton. He died Oct. 3, 1956.
Surviving are a daughter, Opal Myers of Bunker Hill, with whom she was residing; two sons, Earl and George, both of Piasa; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Bollhorst of Whiting, Ind.
Also surviving are five brothers, Frank Werts of Bethalto, Ray Werts of Rosewood Heights, Guy Werts of Alton, Henry Werts of Brighton and Lee Werts of Fosterburg.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at Jacoby-Wise Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Allan Mason officiating.
Burial will be in Piasa Cemetery, and the Heart Fund and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have been names as memorials.
