COLFAX, Wash. Sept. 8--Harry Jacob Palmer, 84, a retired farmer of the St. John district who came to Colfax in 1943 after living in Spokane for 25 years, died at his home today after a long illness. Born in Dayton, Ore., Mr. Palmer was a pioneer Whitman County farmer. he was a Charter member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge in St. John.
Surviving are the widow and five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Crumbaker of Colfax; Mrs. Zilla Galloway of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Anna Long of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Veteve Lotz of San Francisco; and Mrs.Frankie Hughes of Los Angeles.
The last rites have been set for 11 a.m. Thursday from Burning's Chapel with burial in St. John.
