Mrs. F.M. Lane.
Mrs. Frank M. LANE passed away to the great beyond at 4:30 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, July 1st, 1919, at her home on Fifth street, aged 68 years, and 5 days. Mrs. Lane has been failing in health for some time but her condition was not considered serious. About ten days ago she fell and was confined to her bed for a few days but improved and was able to be up again and was apparently getting better again. On Tuesday she suddenly took worse and quietly passed away in a few hours.
Katherine Ann WHYTE was born June 26, 1851, in Oswego, New York. She was married to Mr. Frank M. Lane in 1870 and removed to Fremont, Nebraska. To this union were born one daughter, Mrs. Nita RECORDS. They removed from Fremont, Nebraska, to Kiowa, Kansas in 1885; where she has made her home ever since. Mrs. Lane was a good, christian woman, devoted to her home and family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mrs. Nita Records, and a host of friends to mourn her death. The floral offerings were profuse and showed the esteem in which she was held by her friends.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday evening, July 3rd, at 7 o'clock p.m., on the beautiful lawn at her home. Rev. C.C. McCoy formerly of this city, now of Newton, Kansas, had charge of the services. The remains were followed by a large cortege of friends to Riverview cemetery, where they were laid to rest beside her husband who preceeded her in death about 15 years ago. The many friends of the family extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved daughter
