Mrs. Workman, 96, dies
STOCKPORT - Emma H. Workman, 96, one of Stockport's oldest residents, died Tuesday, 10:30 p.m., at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield after an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 29, 1882 at Glasgow, the daughter of William H. and Lizzie Howell Brewer. On July 6, 1902 she married Richard A. Workman at Glasgow. He died June 16, 1955.
Surviving are two sons, R. Dale Workman and R.A. Workman, both of Stockport; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Workman was a member of the Stockport Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship. The body is at Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham where arrangements are pending.
