Last Monday occurred the death of one of our worthy and esteemed citizens, Isaac George, at his home two miles east of Sidney. He was taken down about three weeks ago with pneumonia, brought on by an attack of grippe, although he had been ailing for years, from the effects of a disease contracted while in the army. He was born on the Johnson farm, near Lynn Grove, in 1846 and had always been a resident of this vicinity. Deceased leaves a wife and five children; three brothers, Joseph and Taylor, of this vicinity, and Daniel, of Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. R. R. Busey and Mrs. Geo. Palmer, of this vicinity, and a half-sister, Josephine Palm, of Texas. The remains were interred in the G. A. R. cemetery, at Homer, on Wednesday.
