Following his service he taught Automotive Technology at Baldwin County High School and Southeast Bulloch High School. He was a former employee of Best Auto Radiator Service. He was a Master Mason with the Ogeechee Lodge #213 and a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 17 years Eula; a son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Janet; four daughters and a son-in-law Terri, Donna and Bill, Deborah and Marsha; a daughter-in-law Kanae; four granddaughters Serina, Lillian, Courtney and Whitney; five grandsons Travis, Prestin, Jamal, Elliot and Stephen; two great grandsons James and Jonathan; two brothers and sisters-in-law Donaldson and Priscilla, Walter and Maureen; a sister and brother-in-law Glenda and John; and several nieces and nephews.
