MARY HILEMAN, commonly called 'Polly,' married Philip Bridenbaugh. Mr. Bridenbaugh was a farmer and resided in Sinking Valley. He died September 27th, 1861, aged seventy-three years, seven months.
Mary Hileman Bridenbaugh spent the last years of her life with her daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Loudon at Juniata. She died May 6th, 1879, aged eighty-one years and nine months, and with her husband and two sons, are sleeping in the Reformed Cemetery in Sinking Valley. Twelve children were given them:
John Bridenbaugh, deceased, went to Nebraska. He had five children: Mrs. Fair, deceased, of Juniata, and of the others we have no knowledge. [*see John Bridenbaugh's memorial for details. ]
Henry Bridenbaugh married a Miss Sprankle and was a farmer near Martinsburg.
Benjamin also married a Miss Sprankle and resided on a farm near Martinsburg.
Michael Bridenbaugh married Eliza Ramay, both deceased. They had no family. Mr. Bridenbaugh was a farmer and lived (p. 267) near Bellwood, Blair County, Pa. They were members of the Lutheran church.
David Y. Bridenbaugh was killed May 26th, 1855, on Brush Mountain, while peeling bark, aged twenty-five years.
Joseph Bridenbaugh died December 30, 1859, aged twenty-seven years and fifteen days. Both David and Joseph are deceased and are buried in the Reformed Cemetery in Sinking Valley.
Susan Bridenbaugh married Frank Wilson and had four children. She died in White Side County, 1911.( ?)
Eliza Bridenbaugh married Seeds and resides in Aberdeen, Kansas, and celebrated her eighty-fifth birthday in November, 1911.
Philip W. Bridenbaugh, Jr., married Anna Bodley and resided on the old homestead farm in Sinking Valley, and on October 6th, 1891, passed away, leaving his wife and six children, one child preceding him to the grave. The children are: Mary Bridenbaugh; Cora, married to Lawson Orr, of Tyrone, Pa., and has one child — Thelma Orr; William Bridenbaugh has two children, Helen and Florence; Sydney Bridenbaugh, of Tyrone, has two children — Lynn (p. 269) and Anna; Pearl Bridenbaugh, of Tyrone; and Mrs Myrtle Warfel, of Altoona, has three children — Frank, Anna and Harold.
Mrs. Harriet Russel, deceased, had three children — Mrs. John Kyper, Mrs. John Lininger, both of McConnellsville, and Samuel Russell of Sinking Valley.
Mrs. Rebecca Loudon, of Altoona, was the youngest of this family of twelve. Her
husband, William Loudon, owned a farm, which has been sold off into lots and now
is a part of the Borough of Juniata. They are both deceased and are buried in Fairview Cemetery, Altoona. Of their family of seven children, six are living. Mr. Loudon died September 3rd, 1899. Mrs. Loudon died January 18th, 1912, and their son, Grant, August 25th, 1904. The children living are: Sara Ella, Mrs. G. W. Loudon, of 2110 West Chestnut Avenue, Altoona; Mary Vialo; Mrs. L. A. Winters, of Juniata; Edward W., M. D., of South Altoona; G. W., clerk in Aaron's furniture store, Altoona; William Hays, Altoona, and Calvin Blair Loudon, Altoona.
Of Mrs. Mary Stryker, twelfth child of Mary and Philip Bridenbaugh, nothing is known. ["Mahlon T., the fourth, lived and died in West in 1873" In 1867 Mahlong had a school warrant issued in Huntington County, Didrict West. See father-in-law John Stryker Find A Grave Memorial# 54420073]

Philip Bridenbaugh was married to a daughter of Michael Hileman of Frankstown and died in 1831, at the age of 73 years. - - - - The sisters of Philip Bridenbaugh married into the Hileman, Smith, Hollinger, and Sprankle families who were among the pioneers of different parts of the county, while the Bridenbaughs were well known as among the prominent settlers of the valley.... Their children were: Sons: John Bridenbaugh, Henry Bridenbaugh, Michael Bridenbaugh, Philip W. Bridenbaugh, David Bridenbaugh, Joseph Bridenbaugh, Benjamin Bridenbaugh. Daughters: Mrs. Thomas Russell, Mrs. Frank Wilson, Mrs. Alexander Seeds, Mrs. Mahlon Stryker, Mrs. William Louden.
