Bonnie Winkler passed away peacefully in her home in Ontario Oregon, the 12th of June 2011.

Bonnie was born to Henry and Emily Mittan in Hay Springs Nebraska, May 11th 1932. She married William F. Winkler in Winnemucca, Nevada, August 1st 1950. They eventually settled in Garden Valley Idaho in 1954. Bill passed away in February of 1985.

Bonnie never remarried, instead devoted her time to her quilting, the VFW ladies auxiliary, home extension and her church. Bonnie moved from Garden Valley to Fruitland in 1996, where she lived until her failing health caused her to move into assisted living.

She is survived by her son, Jim; daughter, Jeanne; her grandchildren, Brett, Ian, Josh, Danny and Emily; eight great-grandchildren, Bonnie-Louise, Lantz, Taelor, Kaeleb, Haeley, Cassidy, Tanner and Clair; and one Great-Great Grandchild, Pandora. She will be missed.

There will be a viewing from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Flahiff Funeral chapel in Caldwell on Wednesday, June 15, with a graveside service at 3:00 pm at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
