Margaret C. Edwards

Des Moines resident Margaret C. Edwards, 77, died Friday at the Sea Toma Care Center.

Born Feb. 20, 1911, in Springville, Utah, her family moved when she was 2 to Mexico, where she lived until she was 14. Mrs. Edwards later resided in California, where she was employed by Mattel Toys.

She had been a resident of this area since last year. Mrs. Edwards was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by four sons, David Parson of Yucaipa, Calif., Michael K. Parson of Temple City, Calif., Daniel A. Edwards of Long Beach, Calif., and Richard C. Edwards of Van Nuys, Calif.; two daughters, Vienna Wilson of Renton and Lois Moritz of Federal Way; two sisters, Alice Green of Arizona and Elda Rippy of Puebla, Mexico; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the May Valley Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Stokes Mortuary of Renton is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be to the Rainier State School at Buckley.
