ROY BRAMMER DIES FOLLOWING HEART ATTACK
32-year-old Veteran army Recruiter Was Native of County

Sgt. First Class Roy Carl Brammer, 32, veteran of World War II and of the occupation of Germany, died at 8:10 O'clock Saturday night in Whiteman Air Force Hospital in Knob
Noster. He suffered a heart attack Friday night in Sedalia, where he was in charge of the Army Recruiting duty.
SERVICE IN PHILLIPINES
During World War II he saw two years' service in the Philippines, was returned later to Moberly, where he was a recruiter for about two years before being sent to Germany for a tour of duty. Upon his return to the United States Sgt. Brammer again became a recruiter for the Moberly area, which later was incorporated in the Brookfield area and his office was established at Brookfield. Only recently he had sent to Sedalia office to administer the work there. His co-recruiter in the Brookfield area, Sgt. Bob Peterson of Moberly, then took over administrator there. Sgt. Brammer was a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church, of A.F. and A.M. 344 and of the royal Arch Chapter 79.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Patsy Brammer, a daughter; Janice Gaye, 3 1/2 years old; his mother, Mrs. C.O. Brammer; two sisters, Mrs. Dugan Bradley, Moberly and Mrs. Billy Durham, Fairfax, VA.; and a grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Brammer of Moberly. A baby boy Stephen Jay and his father Carl Brammer preceded him in death.
The body is in the Cater Funeral Home. Services will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Carpenter Street Baptist Church by the pastor. Dr. Paul Weber Full military rites will be observed and the Honor Guard firing squad of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., will pay the final tribute at the graveside in Oakland Cemetery.
