Ralph Moen, 80, Town of Dallas, Barron County, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Barron Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 26, 1922, to Axel and Mari (Anderson) Moen in the Town of Dallas, where he was raised and attended school.

He married Palma Amundson on March 3, 1952, at Pine City, Minn. He retired from Barron Electric after 28 years of service.

He was an avid bowler and once bowled in a televised bowling competition. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, singing, and playing his harmonica.

He was a long-time member of New Scandinavia Lutheran Church, Town of Maple Grove, Barron County.

Surviving in addition to his wife of Knapp Haven Nursing Home, Chetek, are sons, Randall (MaryJo) of the Town of Sioux Creek, Barron County, and William "Bill" of the Town of Dallas; a daughter, Janet (David) Hensgen of Kenosha; grandchildren, Becky, Kayla, Carl, Molly, and Andrew; sisters, Ragna (Richard) Rasmussen of Chetek, Martha (Carl) Bakken of Barron, and Evelyn Phillips of Florida; nieces; nephews; other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Christ and Alf; and a sister, Alma Solie.

Private services will be held with interment at New Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, from Mark Rausch Funeral Home, Dallas.
