In 1909 George and Margaret celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their home in West Spring Green, WI. "Refreshments were served at three o'clock in the afternoon. They consisted of ice cream, berries and other dainties. On of the leading features of the menu consisted of a bride's cake and a groom's cake decorated with pink and yellow roses which were very beautiful indeed. After luncheon a short program was given........."
