Mr. Joe Pat Bland 81 of Murray, KY died at 1:30pm Saturday at his home. He was born Jan. 5,1930 in Calloway Co. KY to the late John Logan & Laura (Adams)Bland. His brother, Logan Bland, alsopreceded him in death.
Mr. Bland was a member of First Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from B.F. Goodrich Co. in Calvert City, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Jean ( Ellington) Bland, to whom he was married June 6,1931, two sons, Chris Bland, of Mayfield, KY,Scott Bland, of Murray, KY, and one sister, Martha B. Dowdy (George),of Murray, KY.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Monday at the Murray Cemetery, with Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. There will be no visitation.
