Christine Furnish Gordy
(January 29, 1937 - May 18, 2011)

Christine Furnish Gordy, age 74 and a resident of Sparta passed away Wednesday, May 18th, at her home. Born January 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Furnish. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Gordy as well as six brothers.
Christine worked as a waitress at the Glencoe Truck Stop and was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters: Loretta Lawson of Sparta, Vicky Logsdon of Worthville, and Rhonda Wainscott of Worthville. Five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw with funeral services beginning Saturday at 2pm. Bro. Darrell Maines will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to The St. Elizabeth Hospice Center.
