Albert Nohr, son of Peter and Caroline Nielsen Nohr, was born Jan. 17, 1913, at Blaisdell, ND, where he was raised and educated. The family moved to the Tower City, ND, area in 1931, where he farmed with his father. Albert married Betty McBride, July 2, 1938, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. They moved to Redding, CA, in 1941, where he assisted in the construction of the Redding Dam. They returned to Fargo in 1943, and he worked for Knerr Dairy, Fargo, and then Sweetheart Bread, Fargo. He worked for Pioneer Coffee Co., Moorhead, from 1948-1969, McGarvey Coffee Co., Moorhead, from 1969-1972, and then the Double D Restaurant, Glyndon, MN, from 1973-1980. At that time, they sold their home and moved to Little Cormorant Lake, Cormorant, MN. They spent the winter months in Bullhead City, AZ. In 1990, they moved to Dilworth, where they have since lived. Albert was a member of the Fargo Eagles Aerie #153 for 54 years and the Dilworth Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty, Dilworth; daughters, Barbara Decker, Hunter, ND, and Sandra (Richard) Deilke, Vergas, MN; sons, Darryl (Sandra), Grandin, ND, and Warren (LuJean), Dallas, TX; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
