She was born October 21, 1919, at Elkton, and was a daughter of the late W. Homer and Elsie O. Alger.
She had lived in the Baltimore, Md., and Washington, D.C., areas since her marriage to Donald A. Durham, in 1940.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Judy Wench, of Queenstown, Md.; three sisters, Virginia Monger and Ruby Jenkins, both of Elkton; and Majorie Bowman, of Timberville; a brother, William H. Alger, of Shenandoah; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at the Farief Funeral Home, in Smyrna, Delaware.
