Inscription
This photograph shows all that is left of a once impressive monument in the family lot of Frank Aubuchon. These pieces were discovered when workers removed some overgrown shrubs.
The following was taken from an article written in the Watchman's Advocate in 1893.
The following is a description of this lot with original marker:
"It was surronded by a low cutstone fence with a handsome portal, containing a lofty and solid monument, with cross atop, in memory of Francis Gabriel Aubuchon, born Aug. 5, 1811, died Jan.2, 1888. On the North face is the epitaph:
The dear one here that's sleeping
Has gone to Haven's bright shore,
Where pain nor woe nor weeping
Is known and felt no more.
Where those we love will meet us
Round Jesus great white throne,
Where love and lost will greet us
For in Heaven will know our own."
Gravesite Details
