Her obituary from April 18, 1881 pg 4 col.2 , Fond du Lac Daily Commonwealth reads: The death of Mrs. Abiah Merrille occurred at the residence of Miss M.S.
Merrille, on the corner of Cherry and Union streets, Saturday afternoon at 5
o'clock, the deceased having reached the age of 94 years, the 3d inst. The
funeral will be held to-morrow morning at ten o'clock from Mrs. Merrille's
residence, the remains to be interred at Rienzi. Rev. Arthur Little assisted by
Rev. E.M. Betts will conduct the services, at a request of the deceased made
before death, and by a similar request of Messrs. G. A. Knapp and Charles and
Thomas Shepard will act as pall bearers.
