Services for Augusta Palmer Backlund were held April 9, at the Carlson Funeral home, in Princeton. Mrs Backlund passed at the Princeton Community hospital, on Monday, April 5, at the age of 74.
Mrs. Backlund was born January 15, 1893, in Mille Lacs County, where she grew to womanhood. In 1919, she married a widower, Ole Backlund, they made their home in Spring Vale township.
Her husband and a son, Roger, preceded her in death.
She us survived by five daughters and six sons; Earl (Pearl) Backlund, of Shelton, Washington, Sadie (Clifford) Bergstrom, Zimmerman, Adeline Backlund, Princeton, Bernice (Roy) Babb, Stanchfield, Bonnie (Jim) O'Brien, Cambridge, Howard, Wauhkon, Clarence, Normal and Gilbert of Princeton, and Richard of Big Lake. Grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also a brother Richard Dehn, of Spokane, Washington.
