gs/o Dieterich "Teter" and Elizabeth (Link) nee Fudge Kesling. Teter a German immigrant from Darmstadt who came to Virginia and later moved to Ohio.

h/o Nancy Jean (Kesling) m. July 4, 1854 Ohio

Henry and Nancy came to Ironton in the 1860s after moving from Ohio to Indiana and then Missouri.

Word has it that Henry was a mathematics professor, loved the classics, and was a bit eccentric. He purchased the Beard farm in Ironton.
Henry built the Kesling Hotel which was razed in the early 1900s and the Kesling-Marr Home still standing today.
He made the bricks for both of these structures.

He died when his wagon overturned while
crossing the St Francois River.
