Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at his home on June 7, 2011.

He was born November 27, 1927 to William and Irene Douglas in Salt Lake City, Utah. Attended South High School, the University of Utah and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Barbara JoAnn Parkin on June 7, 1952. They shared fifty-nine devoted years and raised five children. Marriage solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in 2004.

Retired from Consolidated Freightways. He loved to travel, play golf, go fishing, but most of all being surrounded by his entire family.

Survived by his wife and five children, Kenton (Roxie), Kevin, Kyle (Leisa), Kori (Sam) Heusser, Karen (Trent) Anderson; sevneteen grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was well loved and will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverside First Ward Chapel, 5425 South Allendale (600 West), with a viewing on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
