Milton S. "June" Blough Jr., 82, of Wooster, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Wooster Community Hospital, as a result of complications from pneumonia.

June was born June 20, 1925, near Creston, the son of the late Milton S. "Dutch" Blough Sr. and Lyda Louise (Massie) Blough. He married Phyllis Collins on July 12, 1947, and she survives.

He graduated from Creston High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943-46, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.

He retired from Western Southern Life Insurance in 1984 following 26 years of service, where he had been the sales manager.

He had made his home in Creston all of his life and was a member of Creston United Methodist Church, Creston American Legion Post 497, Seville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8753, Seville Masonic Lodge 74 F.&.A.M., Scottish Rite of Canton, Al Koran Shrine and the Wooster Shrine Club. He was a lifetime member of Creston Moose Lodge 1224. He enjoyed fishing and his fly-in trips to Canada and golfing.

Surviving along with his wife are three sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Marianne, Tom and Barb, Greg and Deb; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Richard and James; five half-sisters, Virginia, Donna, Sharyn, Eva and Mary Lou; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Donald, and half-brothers, Clayton and Bruce.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Revs. Gerry Burchett and John Castle officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery with military honors by Creston American Legion Post 497. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Creston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1111, Creston 44217 or to Friends of the Creston Library at P.O. Box 25, Creston 44217.
