Donna Jean (Blough) Kast, 75, of Rittman, passed away peacefully at Barberton Summa Hospital on Monday, April 13, 2020 after a brief illness.
Donna was born Jan. 14, 1945 in Lodi to the late Milton "Dutch" and Marie (Long) Blough and was a graduate of Norwayne High School. On Sept. 25, 1976 she married Gabriel Kast and together they enjoyed 43 years of marriage. Donna retired from Truckstops of America after 30 years of service and over the years she enjoyed football, animals and wildlife. She loved to watch the birds and had a sentimental love for loons and their voices. She enjoyed rock-n-roll and country music and had a special love for Pink Floyd. Donna loved her family with a passion as well as her pets, Gunner, Star and K.C.
Surviving are her husband, Gabe; daughter, Heather (Andrew) Yannayon and granddaughter, Sarah Yannayon of Wadsworth; son Lance (Deborah) Simpson and grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Anne-Marie and John Simpson of Carrollton, GA: sisters, Virginia Boggs and Sharyn Blough of Seville and Mary (Scott) Stachler of Creston; brothers, James (Donna) Blough of Wadsworth and Richard (Dagmar) Blough Wright of Flagstaff, AZ; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Simpson, her parents; brothers, Milton "June", Donald, Clayton and Bruce Blough and sister, Eva Hatten.
Private services will be held Monday, April 20th at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Mark Teal officiating. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
