She was born in Indiana October 11, 1904, to Homer A. Bodenhamer and Hattie Florence Gray Bodenhamer, and died July 5, 1990 in a Bakersfield hospital.
She was preceded in death by her grandson SGT_William_Earl_Stone, who was killed in Vietnam in 1968, and by her husband, Earl M. Smith, in June of 1988. Her survivors include her two daughters and their husbands, her son and his wife, her sister, and four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
