MARGARET MARTHA GAGE(1912 - 2009)
Margaret Martha Gage, 96, went to be with the Lord and her 3 babies who died at birth surrounded by her family on March 26, 2009.
She was born December 8, 1912 in Pierre, South Dakota to Peter and Nielsine Christiansen who were Danish immigrants. Margaret grew up in Dupree, South Dakota.
She married Bernard Gage March 7, 1932. In 1941 they moved to Seattle. In the 1950's she went to work for King County. She was active in the Democratic Party. Bernard and Margaret both retired in 1970.
Her greatest love was her family. She loved her garden and canned all the vegetables from her garden. Margaret also loved garage sales. She loved to cook and bake and was a very hospitable person.
Preceded in death by her parents, 3 children, Joanne Charlotte, Bernard Charles, Jr., and Marvin Ambrose, and siblings, Ejner, Dagmar, Mary, Victor and Rupert.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 77 years, Bernard, sons, Ellery (Christie) and Victor (Sharlene), grandchildren, Lisa Gage, Ellery Gage, Jr., Melanie Trivelli, Melissa White, Joel Gage, Megan Johnson, Maren Gage, Jonathan Gage and Stephanie Gage, 10 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and sister Helen Christensen.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 1 from 2-5 and Bonney-Watson, 1732 Broadway, Seattle. A funeral mass will be held, 10AM, Thursday, April 2 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 732 18th Ave E, Seattle, WA. Burial will follow at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery.
