Mrs. Ernest Adams Dead

One of the most pathetic deaths in the history of Douglas was announced last Thursday, at which time Mrs. Ernest Adams passed away after an operation in the Douglas hospital. She had been in a critical condition for several weeks and as a last resort it was decided to operate. Two little children--two and one-half and eighteen months of age--are left motherless by this death, while the community suffers the loss of an esteemed lady who enjoyed a large circle of friends in this county.

Mrs. Adams resided on the McKinley ranch near Orin at the time she was taken ill, but was preparing to move to Douglas.

She was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. William Iarchow of Douglas, who with her husband and sister, Mrs. A. A. Clough, are left to mourn her loss.

Information was taken from her obituary in Bill Barlow's Budget, November 30, 1910. A copy of the obituary can be obtained from the Converse County, WY library.

Note: Her maiden name is spelled both as Iarchow and Jarchow in different records.
